Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

the joy of full...

The disciples went to town to get food...
leaving Jesus tired and hungry by the well...
while they were gone a Samaritan woman comes to the well...
Jesus reaches out to her for water...
she questions...
He questions...
and before you know it...
she's seen the Messiah... and goes to tell others...

When the disciples returned they said to Him...

"Rabbi, eat." But He said to them,
"I have food to eat that you do not know about."
So the disciples were saying to one another,
"No one brought Him anything to eat, did he?"
Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me
and to accomplish His work. ..."
John 4:31-34 NASB

Jesus was full... from obeying His Father...
teaching the good news to the spiritually hungry...

This morning... after sitting around a table full of ladies...
all hungry for His Word...
and leading them... sharing stories with one another...
laughing... crying... witnessing...
I relate to Jesus...
I just felt full...
and what a joy to be full...

Obeying Him in a call to lead...
introduce others to the Word...
is a fulfilling joy...

Be full... do what He is calling you to...
share Him in Word and deed...
bless others with the good news...

When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy
and my heart's delight, for I bear your name,
O Lord God Almighty.
Jeremiah 15:16
