Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

lessons... from a daylily...

A daylily... its bloom... glorious... for just one day...

Why does He create such glory to last just one day...?

He is eternal... outside time... He is all about the present moment... no matter how short... how insignificant... to Him... it's all glory...!

Perhaps we should treat the daily... as God does... with attention to detail... making glory... out of every moment... nothing mundane...

In Him... all has eternal... glorious... significance... and... purpose...

"Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! ..." ---Jesus
Luke 12:27-28

If all this... is poured into one flower... lasting only 24 hours... how much more... will He care for His people...? the crown of creation...?

How much more... should we stand firmly in His grace... His love... poured out through our Lord Jesus Christ... making the most of every moment...?

Father God... may I glorify You... today...
moment... by... moment...
