Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

twenty-three days...

The third offering in twenty-five words of Him...
as we approach Christmas... with twenty-three days to go...

The Fall in the Garden of Eden...
led to exile from God's presence...
Still... He continued to lead and guide His people...
through the consequences of sin...

To Abraham... He promised a new land...
Through Moses... and Joshua...
it came to pass...

He set kings on the throne...
each imperfect... faulty... corrupt...
in his own way...

To King David... a man after God's own heart... He made a promise...

When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers,
I will raise up your offspring after you,
who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.
He shall build a house for my name,
and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
2 Samuel 7:12-13 ESV

Another sign given...
a descendant of David...
a King who would reign forever...

Messiah...
a perfect King...
One we need not fear...
One whom we can safely submit to...
One completely trustworthy... just... upright in heart...

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea
in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east
came to Jerusalem, saying, "Where is he who has been born
king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose
and have come to worship him."
Matthew 2:1-2 ESV

Jesus... He came to rule... He comes as King...

Lord... I long to live in Your Kingdom...
each and every moment... of every day...
Teach me how to live wholly under Your rule...
