Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

twenty-one days...

Twenty-one days... three short weeks... till Christmas...

More seeking of Him...
the One we are to celebrate...
preparing a heart...
preparing a spirit...
for more than hustle and bustle...

He comes as King... a humble King...
but do we understand... just how humble...?

Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied;
by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant,
make many to be accounted righteous,
and he shall bear their iniquities.
Isaiah 53:11 ESV

He comes as the Servant King...
He comes to serve... not to be served...

But Jesus called them to him and said,
"You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them,
and their great ones exercise authority over them.
It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great
among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first
among you must be your slave, even the Son of Man
came not to be served but to serve,
and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Matthew 20:25-28 ESV

The Creator... Ruler... Keeper... of the universe...
the true... rightful... King...
the One possessing all authority... all power...
came as... Servant...

He came as His Father's Servant...
He came to serve us...
you... me...

He did the lowliest of jobs...
He washed feet...
He bore our burden...
He claimed our sins... took our punishment...

You give me your shield of victory,
and your right hand sustains me;
you stoop down to make me great.
Psalm 18:35

Lord Jesus... I praise You as Servant King...
the King who stoops... and serves...
to wash feet... and souls...
Your love stoops low... to make me great...

Today... I choose to serve You...
