Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

twenty days...

Twenty days to go...
the pressing of the season begins...
but here... we continue... to focus on Him...

The Servant King...
a Faithful Servant... in all His ways...
faithful to His Father...
faithful to His people...
faithful to His purpose...

Behold my servant, whom I uphold,
my chosen, in whom my soul delights;
I have put my Spirit upon him;
he will bring forth justice to the nations.
He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice,
or make it heard in the street;
a bruised reed he will not break,
and a faintly burning wick he will not quench;
he will faithfully bring forth justice.
Isaiah 42:1-3 ESV

Faithful... obedient... in following His Father's will...
Faithful... obedient... in bringing about justice... for all...
Faithful... obedient... in doling out compassion... mercy...

Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,
who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality
with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself,
by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
And being found in human form, he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to the point of death,
even death on a cross.
Philippians 2:5-8 ESV

Jesus... He emptied Himself of all divinity...
to enter a human womb...
become like one born to serve...

He did so faithfully...
perfectly...
obeying His Father...
even to death...
death... on... a... cross...

Lord... Your faithful... obedient... heart...
overwhelms me... when I think of all You did...
are doing... to redeem... restore... Your creation...

Your love obeys the Father... grow my love to obey You...
love that serves... faithfully...
