Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

how to breathe...

Seeking Him as the Bread of Life...
led to me praising Him...
as the Breath of Life...

He gives us life...
by His breath...

---then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life,
and the man became a living creature.
Genesis 2:7 ESV

A song of praise puts this truth into perspective...

You give life, You are love
You bring light to the darkness
You give hope, You restore
Every heart that is broken
And great are You, Lord

It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only

---All Sons & Daughters, Great Are You Lord

This particular song... started me considering... just how we are to use our breath to praise Him only... after all it is His breath...

Today... I discovered instructions on how to breathe...
and I found it in His Word...

Rejoice always,
pray without ceasing,
give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV

If we would truly live our lives...
according to His will...
rejoicing...
praying...
giving thanks...
there would be no room for doing anything else with our breath...!

All would be for His glory...

All would lead to a life of praise...
breath spent on Him... only...
