Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

where is your security found...?

Over lunch today... we talked about the futility of trusting money for security...

There is not enough money... for anyone to feel secure...

This evening... I hear of the terror in Paris... not from the news... but from my sister... her youngest... my niece... currently there doing a semester abroad...

She's safe at the moment...

Listening to the news... people's fears...
borders closed...
a call on military to keep them safe...

But can they...?

Is there any security to be found in the things... or people of the world...

The only peace...
the only security...
the only solid Rock in which to trust...
is God: Father... Son... Holy Spirit...

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its water roar and foam, thought the mountains
tremble at its swelling. Selah
Psalm 46:1-3 ESV

Pause and think calmly of that...
Jesus... the Savior...
our only Refuge...

Where is your security found...?

Praying for my niece... my sister... to find security in Him...

Please join me in praying...
