Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

seeking Him... as Bread...

The inspiration came Sunday...
studying His Word with friends...
reading through Amos...

For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:
Seek Me [inquire for and of Me and require Me
as you require food] and you shall live!
Amos 5:4 Amp

I love the Amplified of this verse...
including the heart of the Hebrew translated seek...

Sharing this with friends... how we are to seek God... daily... as a necessity... as our source of life...

She said... Just think how often we eat...

Her comment impressed... stuck...
so today... I'm remembering He is...
the Bread of Life...

Jesus replied, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me
will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves
to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst any more
(at any time).
John 6:35 Amp

The One we are to eat... for Life...

Turning to Him often today...
in prayer...
in praise...
pressing into His promises...

Seeking Him to sustain... fill...
moment by moment...
throughout the day...

Have you sought Him today...? as much have you have sought out food...?
