Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

The Journey Readings: Week 66... and His Majesty...

O Lord, our Lord,
how excellent (majestic and glorious)
is Your name in all the earth!
Psalm 8:9 Amp

The Journey entered the book of Psalms this past week...
the week leading up to Easter...
the day on which the Church commemorates His greatest work...
the beginning... of making... all things new...

His majesty and glory...
revealed in His willingness to stoop low...
humble Himself...
allow Himself to be driven by His powerful love...
to the cross...

His majesty... becomes a mystery...
when we view it through our human nature...

When I view and consider Your heavens,
the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars,
which You have ordained and established,
What is man that You are mindful of him,
and the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him?
Psalm 8:4-5 ESV

But He does...
He cared enough to die...

In the psalms I find words formed deep in the hearts of men...
and deep in the heart of God...

Some bring revelation... of His majesty...

Some simply bring forth questions... a cry for revelation...

The psalms... a perfect way to move forward... from this Easter day...
a perfect way... to continue the conversation... with our Lord...
Majestic... Glorious... Mysterious...
