Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

thoughts on trust...

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5 ESV

Trust... I've been thinking about it... in preparation for the upcoming study... the step of faith...

Trying to put to words...
what it means to me to trust Him...
what I've learned about trust...

What I noticed today...
fear... anxiety... the primary indicators...
that I am not trusting Him... in any given moment...

I still find it a battle at times...
my own thoughts... understanding of danger...
of what's bad... and... good...
takes over...
and I fear...
because I've lost my trust in Him...

Fear... leads me to prayer... and praise...
seeking forgiveness for not trusting...
praising Him for being trustworthy...
and the plans He has in all things...

Fear... an indicator of a spirit... devoid of trust in Him...

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Isaiah 26:3 ESV
