Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

a day for blessing... and being blessed...

A day for blessing... and being blessed...
in the offering of myself to others... for His use... at His call...
I find myself blessed... a truth found in His Word...

Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and the one who waters will himself be watered.
Proverbs 11:25 ESV

It feels odd to receive such a blessing... by being obedient... in blessing others... it also feels great...!

I think of Abraham... and find myself wanting... the blessing God gave him...

"... in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."
Genesis 12:3 ESV

What an awesome blessing to receive...
the blessing of being a blessing...!

We may think ourselves such a mess... we could never bless anyone else...
but God... in His grace... works out brokenness as blessing...

"... the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you,
because the Lord your God loved you. ..."
Deuteronomy 23:5 ESV

Moses reminded the Israelites about the story of Balaam...
the prophet hired by their enemy... to curse them...
but God would not allow it...

Our enemy... entered the world to curse us with sin...
yet God... in His love... did not allow it to be the last word...

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming
a curse for us --- for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree"...
Galatians 3:13 ESV

He uses every curse... and its consequences... for good... when we allow Him to redeem it ALL through Christ Jesus... giving Him lordship over our lives...

Blessed are the people to whom such blessings fall!
Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord!
Psalm 144:15 ESV

Obey His voice...
be a blessing...
be blessed...

Who have you blessed today...?
