Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

Jesus... did You ever wonder...? (a prayer)

Jesus... did You ever wonder... if You were heard...?
speaking to hundreds... thousands...
from a boat... on a mount...
children bounding... people sleeping... chatting...

Did You ever wonder if it made a difference...?
Did You ever doubt Your calling...?

I'd have to say... Yes... since You were tempted... tried... in all things...

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize
with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect
has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Hebrews 4:15 ESV

On the cross... did You think it all a waste...?

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, sayng,
"Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" that is "My God, My God,
why have you forsaken me?"
Matthew 27:46 ESV

I find comfort... encouragement... knowing You struggled with doubt...

I find the Way to resist discouragement... just as You did...
running to Your Father... daily...

And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark,
he departed and went out to a desolate place,
and there he prayed.
Mark 1:35 ESV

Thank You for showing the Way...
