Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

He is faithful to fill...

Empty... that's how I felt...
approaching a time to lead group prayer...

No space to prepare...
no inspiration...
no time...
left me with nothing...
a blank outline...
in a spiral notebook...

So that was my prayer...
I got nothin'... Lord... nothin'...

Not only was I empty spiritually...
but physically... I was hungry...
and forgot my snack to eat on the way...

Trusting Him to fill...
asking Him to empty all of me...
distractions...
anxiety...
guilt...
to make room for Him to fill...

And that's what He did...
words to pray...
praise...
confession...
thanksgiving...
intercession...
filled what had currently been nothing...

On the way home...
I also realized... the hunger was gone...
He had also filled physically...
by His power and grace...

For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things.
Psalm 107:9 ESV

He is... faithful... to... fill...

Where are you empty...? what needs to be filled...?

Go to Him... make room for Him... and He will...
