Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

rest in brokenness...

Brokenness...
I've heard a lot lately...
the heartbreaking kind...

In crying out to Him...
on behalf of the broken...
I find a place to rest...

His incredible love...

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son..."
John 3:16 ESV

His grace...

Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, prisoners in affliction and in irons,
for they had rebelled against the words of God, and spurned the counsel of the Most High.
So he bowed their hearts down with hard labor, they fell down, with none to help.
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.
Psalm 107:10-13 ESV

His power to work evil for good...

"... But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant if for good,
in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. ..."
Genesis 50:20 NKJV

His plan and purpose for all...

And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on
all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods
and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should
seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him.
Yet he is actually not far from each one of us...
Acts 17:26-27 ESV

In interceding for the broken...
I find rest in Him...
trusting Him with those He loves...
more than I...
trusting Him to work good...
through His power to redeem...
trusting He knows what He's doing...
when I can't see...

Is there brokenness you need to trust Him with...?

Carry it to Him in prayer...
find a place...
to rest in brokenness...
