Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

The Journey Readings: Week 92... and a picture of His love...

Song of Solomon... a love song...
in these words of love... I see His heart...

You have ravished my heart and given me courage,
my sister, my [promised] bride;
you have ravished my heart and given me courage
with one look from your eyes...
Song of Solomon 4:9 Amp

His promised Bride... the Church... has ravished His heart...
another translation says captivated...

The Church has stolen His heart away...

He loves His people... His Bride... with a love that is incomprehensible... to those who walk the earth...

The Bride... for now... is broken... torn... soiled... a mess...
quite possibly to most... unlovable...

His love... blesses Him with vision...
of what is to come...
of what will be...

Encouraged by what He sees...
He finds courage...
for the price that must be paid...
the dowry... for His Bride...
crucifixion on a cross...

A love beyond our understanding...
A love that heals...
A love that sees things that aren't... as though they are...

For God so loved the world...
John 3:16
