Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

Shabbat Shalom...

Feeling the burden of all He calls me to...
plus things I want to do...

In the midst... He calls me to lay it all down...

A call to Sabbath...
24 hours... beginning tomorrow...
sunrise to sunrise...

No Fitbit...
no writing...
no prep for ministry...
no work...

I feel like I'm being sent to time-out...
forced... like a toddler... to take a nap...

The immature Believer in me says...
I don't have time for a Sabbath...
I don't have time to rest...

He says... Trust Me...

Unbelief is tiresome...

I feel like crying...

surrendering to the call...

Shabbat Shalom...

Sabbath Peace...

Hah...!

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days you shall labor, and do all your work,
but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God.
Exodus 20:8-10 ESV

Lord Jesus... I trust You...
forgive me for toting things that aren't mine to tote...
forgive me for carrying Your responsibility...
and forgetting it is Yours...
Help me to find... Shabbat Shalom...
Amen...
