Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

retreating...

retreat... an act or process of withdrawing especially from what is difficult, dangerous, or disagreeable... a place of privacy or safety: refuge... a period of group withdrawal for prayer, meditation, study, or instruction under a director...
--- Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary (11th Ed.)
I'm going on one... the spiritual sort...
Three days... to be away...

Withdrawing from... doing... which has been overshadowing... being... to a place of refuge... for a directed time... of prayer... meditation... study... instruction...

Three days... a significant amount of time...
Abraham's journey to sacrifice Isaac...
Jonah's time in the great fish...
Jesus's days... entombed...

Don't know if they'll be significant for me...
just a journey... in letting go... and... being...

We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death,
in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead
by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4 ESV

Seeking newness... of life...

[Note... even though I'll be away... pre-scheduled posts will appear... reminding you... to be...]
