Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

testimony...

...testimony... a word that caught my attention...

Going to Webster's... I read...

1 a (1): the tablet inscribed with the Mosaic Law
(2): the ark containing the tablets
b: a divine decree attested in the Scriptures
2 a: firsthand authentication of a fact: evidence
        b: an outward sign
c: a solemn declaration usually made orally by a witness under oath in response to interrogation by a lawyer or authorized public official
     3 a: an open acknowledgment
b: a public profession of religious experience

The primary definition surprised... the tablets bearing the Ten Commandments... they are a testimony... a divine decree... firsthand authentication... an outward sign... evidence of a Holy God... who revealed Himself with an open acknowledgment... a public profession...

And I thought... those tablets... they've been replaced...

This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel
after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws
in their minds and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God and they will be my people.
Hebrews 8:10
(emphasis added)

...that time... has come... the High Priest... in the order of Melchizedek... He has made the final sacrifice... the Priest Himself... the Lamb...

All Believers... part of the house of Israel... by faith... grafted in through belief... we all have the same spiritual father... Abraham...

So now... Believers... have the Testimony... in their minds... written on their hearts... unable to be physically read... the only evidence... the Believer himself...

Just as our High Priest also served as Lamb... His followers also serve as ark... bearing evidence by their lives... living the Word... through speech and action...

You show that you are a letter from Christ...
written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God,
not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
2Corinthians 3:3

A testimony... is not just words delivered at a religious service... it is a life lived in Him... moment... by... moment...

Have you lived testimony today...?
Who has seen evidence of Him... through you...?
