freedom... to be undignified...

Now the Lord is Spirit,

and where the Spirit of the Lord is,

there is freedom.

2 Corinthians 3:17 ESV

Freedom... it's my word for 2016... and I've seen evidence... of increasing freedom in my life...

For one... freedom from fear of judgment from others...

Just this week...

an undignified moment in worship...

an undignified question to guys...

both resulting in comments from others...

Comments I could've taken and turned into doubt...

doubting my actions... 

doubting my intentions...

doubting my freedom...

Comments that would've previously shamed me...

to one degree or another... for having offended...

The surprise... for me...?

I had none of that...

Neither undignified moment has caused me a moment of grief...

neither came from a heart bent on offending...

each came from a sense of freedom... to connect with others...

But I now see... how newly found freedoms... can offend others... who aren't free... don't yet know the freedom found in His Spirit...

Be careful, however, that the exercise of your freedom

does not become a stumbling block to the weak.

1 Corinthians 8:9

And I will be careful...

but I will also... not be bound up again in fear...

when I have freedom to act... ask...

in order... to connect with others...

in a way unique to the situation... and relationship...

Freedom...

where the Spirit is...

there is...

freedom...

For now... basking in the confirmation... of living Spirit-led...!

Amen...!
