Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

weekend woes

Friday morning... preparing to leave... news of a death...
on the road... an hour behind schedule...
along the way... unexpected delays... the drive three hours longer than expected...
a weekend house... whose water smells... like rotten eggs...
Saturday... dressing for the day... my back went bad...
a picnic missed...
a wedding missed...
forgot a sister's birthday...
a faith tested...

Count it all joy, my brothers,
when you meet trials of various kinds,
for you know the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
