Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

when a day starts rocky...

You know your day is off to a rocky start when the post you published the night before is still on your computer screen as a draft...

And then the morning... instead of beginning with the usual routine... of quiet and prayer... turns into a list of to do's...

But 95% of it is preparation for ministry...
editing pages promised to another who asked for the blessing of teaching what the sister and I wrote (with His help)...
editing pages to lead the next journey... which takes off in just two days...
formatting a prayer sheet... to share with others...

And I've come to this place in my walk with Him...
where I really shouldn't consider a day rocky...
if I believe... trust... He's sovereign...
and I begin my day with thoughts of...
This day... Your way...

And I also have to consider...
all these to do's... I do for Him... with Him...
Are they part of early morning quiet with Him...?
even when it feels a little frantic...?
and I'd rather sit quietly...?

Some days... rocky...
requires remembering...
He's the Rock...

He only is my rock and may salvation, my fortress;
I shall not be shaken.
Psalm 62:6 ESV
