Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

scattered...

Feeling a bit scattered... at the start of the new year...
bills to pay...
chores to do...
words to write...
studies to prepare...

Last week's days off...
I thought I would get much done...
it didn't happen...

Scattered...

Words come...
for different writings...
at different times...
bubbling up...
feeling disjointed...
like too much...

Scattered...

But the odd thing is...
in all the scattered...
there is joy...

Joy...
even though I don't know how it will get done...

Joy...
in not really knowing where I'm going...

Joy...
knowing He's with me...
behind and before...
holding all the scattered...
together...

And he is before all things,
and in him all things hold together.
Colossians 1:17 ESV
