Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

created... in His image...

Praising Him as Creator... Maker of heaven and earth...

The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
Isaiah 41:28 ESV

And I wonder at man... created in His image... the only creatures who create...

All others... beautiful... and wonder-full... as they are... work on instinct... by the plan He laid down for them at creation...

But mankind... we not only use ingenuity to create ways to improve life... but we alone create art... through word... and song... paper... ink... paints... clay... stone... chisel... for the sake of beauty... an outlet for the heart... feelings and thoughts... inexpressible... any other way...

The rest of creation... glorifies Him... just by being...

But mankind... we began by rebelling... no other creature on earth did such a thing...

We glorify Him... by dying to self... just as His Son... glorified Him...

"Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say?
'Father, save me from this hour'?
But for this purpose I have come to this hour.
Father, glorify your name." ---Jesus
John 12:27 ESV

Unique among creation... created in His image...

How are you living... created in His image?
Are you living... for His glory...? or yours...?
