Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

the challenge... of joyful waiting...

The challenge of joyful waiting... comes when others ask about the loved ones on whom I'm waiting for God's work to be done...

My flesh immediately focuses on what I see... rather than His unseen work...

I begin to list off every problem and difficulty I see... hindering the work I'm waiting for... obstacles... and habits... that seem to remain...

Instead of speaking hope... Oh... God is working... and I'm waiting... I speak of everything that looks the same...

Lord... teach me to speak hope...
and stay focused on the unseen...

I remember... growth of a seed... begins underground... all that's visible is dirt... but that doesn't mean... roots aren't forming... and leaves aren't sprouting...

Living by faith... certain... sure... of what is unseen... is a challenge...

And yes... the loved ones they each face difficulties... strongholds... that they will have to get over... and work through... with Him... while my role... is to pray... and to remember... (for them... and for me...)

"...In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer,
I have overcome the world."
John 16:33 NKJV

Yes... the One who is in those who Believe... is greater... then the one who is in the world...

Amen!
