Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

it's hard... to watch others heal...

Healing... it can be a painful process...

A broken bone left to rest a few days begins to feel comfortable... but not useful...

Surgery... makes the way for healing... cuts... inflames... re-wounds... to put things right...

It's the same for a soul... I think...

Spiritual wounds not treated properly... leave scars... and a soul ill-prepared for life...

The Physician... He comes and does spiritual surgery... re-wounding... cutting... with the consequences... of sin... disappointment...

Repentance... the only way... for true healing...

A hard process to watch...

Must continually be reminded... it is for the best... it's all good...

Some became fools through their rebellious ways
and suffered affliction because of their iniquities.
They loathed all food and drew near the gates of death.
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress.
He sent forth his word and healed them;
he rescued them from the grave.
Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men.
Let them sacrifice thank offerings
and tell of his works with songs of joy.
Psalm 107:17-22
