Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

when it's all done... lay it down...

Today I completed a commitment... one I believed He called me to...

A teaching on prayer... encouraging others to pray for those they serve... being prepared for and open to the Spirit's call to ask...

Can I pray for you today...?

As I finished... relief flowed... but as the minutes... hours... passed... the temptation to critique... commend... question... What if?... crowded my thoughts...

The only thing to do... when the call is complete... the commitment all done... is to lay it down... before Him...

For the Savior reminds...

"...Whoever abides in me and I in him,
he it is that bears much fruit,
for apart from me you can do nothing. ..."
John 15:5 ESV

And so I pray...

Father God... I lay down today's teaching before You...
use it how You will... You know it was prayerfully prepared...
and I trust... delivered as You desired...
It is not mine... it's Yours...
Thank You for the opportunity...
the privilege... to serve You...
