Freedom... in a broken world... does not come easy...
The reading through of Exodus... brings insights on the way of freedom...
When Pharaoh let the people go, God led them not by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was nearer; for God said, Lest the people change their purpose when they see war and return to Egypt. But God led the people around by way of the wilderness toward the Red Sea.
Exodus 13:17-18 Amp
God alone sets us free... He leads us out of captivity... but the way out... often comes down to two choices... war... or... wilderness...
He knows our hearts... He knows what we can handle... emotionally and spiritually...
He leads us in the way... we are most likely to stay set on our purpose... freedom...
We must remember to follow Him... trust His leading... whether we face a battle... or... a wilderness walk...
Sometimes the way is circuitous... seemingly longer than it needs to be... but perhaps... it's the best way... for us...
As you move toward freedom... expect resistance... either through war... or wilderness... but remember... He will provide... all you need...
The Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night.
Exodus 13:21 Amp
Lord... help me to trust the way You choose for me...
as You lead me toward ever greater freedom...
