anticipation... of fall... stirring...
a daughter leaving... back to school...
a son to return... a short break... only to leave again...
another... preparing for a first semester...
A season of new things beginning...
some things left undone...
other things... somewhere in the middle...
leaving me with mixed feelings... mismatched emotions...
A day to try and tie up loose ends...
continue with new routines...
take steps toward new beginnings...
wrapping up... letting go... moving on...
Yet feeling at a loss...
not sure what lies ahead...
uncertainty... leaving a heart unsteady...
A storm tried to blow in this evening... the elder-in-law and I on the porch... watching... waiting... the wind gusting... whipping... tree branches waving... the one with me expressed a fear... of high winds... storms...
The wind... reminding me... it is a picture of Him... One to be feared... reverenced... One unseen... capable of tremendous force... and tender gentleness... One whose presence is seen... through His effect...
"... The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound,
but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes.

Today... that's how I felt... wind blown... tossed... doing whatever came next... unsure where I was going... where I have been... stirred... yet comforted... knowing His presence... shown... by the wind...
