Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

growing to see

The ability to see the Word made flesh comes from knowing the Word... the spirit fed a steady diet of Scripture... grows from infancy to maturity... moving from milk to meat...

...solid food is for the mature, who by constant use
have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
Hebrews 5:14

We live in a world where... evil is called "good"... and good "evil"... seeing... distinguishing good... from evil... is difficult... vision blurs... distinctions unclear...

All around us... the material... natural... world... reveals spiritual truth... even our entertainment... the worldview from which it is based... promotes good... or evil...

Can you see clearly... is your favorite flick... good... or evil...?

The shows your children love... keeping them entertained while you do... are they good... or evil...?

Can you see... behind the story... for the heart of the message...?

Can you... distinguish... good... from evil...?

Practice... training... prayerful study of the Word... a heart open to the Spirit... obedience to the truth you know... is the only way... to improve your vision... see clearly... and make choices for Life...

Father God... I ask for Your blessing... a hunger for Your Word... and the eyes of my heart to be enlightened... that I might see... the Word made flesh...
