Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

Romans 8... day 28...

For those whom he foreknew he also predestined
to be conformed to the image of his Son,
in order that he might be the firstborn
among many brothers.
Romans 8:29 ESV

He has known you... always...
even before the world was...

For He chose us in Him,
before the foundation of the world,
to be holy and blameless in His sight.
Ephesians 1:4 HCSB

He has had a specific purpose in mind for you...
since before you were...

For we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand,
that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10 ESV

The purpose of your life... is to know Him...
be conformed to His image...

Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust,
we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.
1Corinthians 15:49 ESV

The suffering... waiting... enduring...
is about being reborn...
into His image...
becoming His brother...

Are you more caught up in the things of the world...?
or in becoming a brother of Christ...?

Seeking His Kingdom first... is about this pursuit...

He says...

"... Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver;
I have tried you in the furnace of affliction. ..."
Isaiah 48:10 ESV

Interpreting everything that comes into our lives... as a means to purify... refine... who we are... to be like Him... is the best way to stay focused on Him... and not get distracted by the things of this world... which don't really matter in the end...

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen.
For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18
