But if Christ is in you,
although the body is dead because of sin,
the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead
dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead
will also give life to your mortal bodies
through his Spirit who dwells in you.

Sin is a condition we are born with... conceived... with...
From the moment of conception... we are doomed to die... because of sin...
For the wages of sin is death...

But... if Christ is in you... the Spirit is life...

weakened by the flesh, could not do.

The work He did... by sending His Son... to be sin...
to be the Lamb of God... the ultimate One and Only Sacrifice...
...he condemned sin in the flesh,
in order that the righteous requirement of the law
might be fulfilled in us...

Because He died...
we have an opportunity to live...
even as we physically move toward death day by day...
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead... dwells in you...
He... will also give life... to your mortal bodies...
Because He lives...
we live too...
So we do not lose heart.
Though our outer self is wasting away,
our inner self is being renewed day by day.

Through His sacrifice...
we become righteous...
by faith in His work...
a gift of grace...
By His Spirit...
we have life...
new life...
increasing... day... by... day...
For the law of the Spirit of life
has set you free in Christ Jesus
from the law of sin and death.
