Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

unseen hope

Slice by slice... around the core... eating the Granny Smith...

A cut too deep... opens a view into the core... and there I see... a curl of something... Gently... with the point of the knife... I pull... and out it pops... the beginning of an apple tree... an embryonic trunk... twin leaves extricating themselves from their covering... a seed no more... but now a sprout...

From the outside... you would have never known... what was going on in the inside... in the unseen womb... in the heart... of the apple...

Hope for seeds planted... remembering they sprout in the dark... growth unseen...

Reminded... sow more seeds... a message from the Summit...

SOW MORE AND MORE SEEDS

Don't judge too soon... don't let discouragement take root... there is a Gardener who knows... and sees... the matters of the heart... He waters with Living Water... the Spirit hovering... to bring Light to the dark...

Seeds sprout in the dark... little by little... till they burst forth... a long hard struggle... against ground that needs cultivating... working...

Continue to plant... continue to wait... trusting the work of the One who makes things grow...

Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming.
See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop
and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.
James 5:7

Father God... thank You for the reminder that growth begins unseen... Continue to provide seed to plant... hearts to cultivate... and courage to keep at it...
