Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

name

A name... meaningless unless you know...

know -- verb -- to perceive directly: have direct cognition of; to have understanding of; to recognize the nature of: discern; to be acquainted or familiar with; to have experience of

Reminded of this truth... reading:

...their perfectly formed mouths singing Wolfgang Amadeaus Mozart's Nocturnes 1 and 2.
--- Ann Voskamp's One Thousand Gifts

...specific name... no meaning... no Nocturne experience... 1... 2... or otherwise... unfamiliar... unacquainted... therefore the naming did not reveal...

Jeremiah 15:16....
Your words came, and I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God Almighty.

...Words sweet because of His name... His character... bearing His name...

An indicator... how does His Word taste to you... is it sweet... does it bring delight... joy... is it tasteless...

Consider if you know His name...

O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Psalm 8:9
