1. My relationship with Him.
2. My relationship with my husband and family.
3. Any ministry He led me into.
I often refer back to this list when making choices. It's interesting how quickly "ministry" tries to move up the list, vying for the #2 spot rather than being happy as #3.
I made a decision recently, that put my role as a small group leader firmly in the third place spot, but as I spent time with my husband on his birthday guilt tried to creep in. I fought back the feelings -- the lies -- trusting in the plan God had given me in the beginning.
Needless to say, my choice was affirmed when I received an email from my small group that blessed me. A blessing that probably wouldn't have happened if I had been there. I praised God for His work in my life and in the group.
God is always right. His plan is perfect.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding...
