wait on Him... Isaiah 25:8-9...

He will swallow up death forever;

and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces,

and the reproach of his people he will take away

from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken.

It will be said on that day, "Behold, this is our God;

we have waited for him, that he might save us.

This is the Lord; we have waited for him;

let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation."

Isaiah 25:8-9 ESV

What do these verses tell us about waiting on Him...?

He is worth the wait...!

He will swallow up death FOREVER...!

He will wipe away tears from ALL faces...

He will take away the reproach... the disgrace... of His people...

We know this because... He... has... spoken...

"For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven

and do not return there but water the earth,

making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower

and bread to the eater, so shall my word be

that goes out of my mouth; it shall not return to me empty,

but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,

and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. ..."

Isaiah 55:10-11 ESV

Just as surely as the rain causes crops to grow...

and the watchmen know the sun will rise...

we can know... He will... do what He says...

The One on whom we wait... will save us...

Behold...! His Word is sure...

rejoice in the waiting...

be glad during the delays...

because... He... will...
