Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

beyond words...

Struggling to find one word... that expresses an essence of His character... That which is beyond our reach...

He is surprising... because He does the unexpected... but surprising doesn't capture the full magnitude...

He is unpredictable... yet steady in faithfulness... even when we aren't...

He is incomprehensible... but He reveals Himself in so many ways...

Just this morning... He surprised me in such a way... I laughed... an unexpected blessing... in the midst of listening for an answer to a specific question... the unexpected blessing appeared to be the answer...

Beyond anything I would have ever guessed or imagined Him doing...

What do you call that...?
Mysterious... No...
Astounding... Not quite..
Amazing... Hmm...

To see His joy... in the creation He holds together... What do you call that...?

Wonder-full...?

I am just left full of wonder...
wonder... a cause of astonishment or admiration: marvel... the quality of exciting amazed admiration... rapt attention or astonishment at something awesomely mysterious or new to one's experience...
---Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary (11th Edition)
That must be the word... Wonder-full...

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
who alone does wondrous things.
Blessed be his glorious name forever;
may the whole earth be filled with his glory!
Amen and Amen!
Psalm 72:18 ESV
(my emphasis... my prayer of praise...)
