Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

more thoughts... from the teaching on grace...

The teaching on Saturday... continues to impact heart... and spirit...

Her descriptions... of law... vs...grace...

Law is consumed with behavior...
Grace is consumed with beholding...

I find myself... seeing... hearing... the difference... between law... and grace...

When I'm focused on behavior... mine or others... I'm living under the law... that which I've died to... that which Christ fulfilled...

Law is self-centered... constantly judging behavior... my own... and others' compared to mine... or how their behavior... affects me...

But grace... it simply beholds... with wonder... all that Jesus did... does... and will do...

Grace... looks not at self... but Him... seeing the power to transform... not just me... but others... power to use all for good... and for His glory...

A life under grace... beholds... with wonder... peace... love...

I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
Psalm 63:2

That glory... grace...

Lord... keep me focused on You and Your glorious grace...
beholding You... not behavior...
