Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

lean on Him... Psalm 37:5...

Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
Psalm 37:5 ESV

Commit. The Hebrew here literally means... roll on...

Way. This way means... manner... habit... course of life...

So... if we roll our course of life onto Him...
trust Him in all our ways...
He will act...

Trusting Him brings His active power into our lives...
but this trust requires committing all our ways to Him...

I think about this verse often when I'm struggling with an emotional issue in my life... you know those relational issues... angst over loved ones...

I roll it on to Him...
give it to Him...
but the next thing I know... it's rolling around in my mind again...
I've taken it back...

Often I roll things onto Him multiple times a day...
but that is not the way to be...

The new way I want to live...
is leaning on Him in all my ways...
not just the things that cause angst...
or the things that challenge me beyond my limits...
but everything...

My entire way...

I want to see Him act on my behalf each and every day...
in multiple ways...
because I trust in Him...

Trust Him with it all...
and watch Him work...

Amen...
