Q. How must we glorify God in our religious worship, and other acts of obedience?
A. By doing all that we do in the name of the Lord Jesus, Col 3:17; worshipping God in the Spirit, rejoicing in Christ Jesus, and having no confidence in the flesh, Phil 3:3.
We glorify God... by having no confidence in the flesh...
A flesh I feel... and know to be... sorely lacking...
Emphasized today... by a report... the one who received the transplant... continues to have complications... a tracheotomy placed yesterday... a leaking lung today... more procedures... and prayer... necessary to save a life... or at least the flesh that fails...
How do we glorify God... with broken...failing flesh...?
Trust Him... with all that comes...
Believe Him to be... the loving... Sovereign Father... He claims to be...
The One who cannot lie... is Faithful... and True...
Therefore let us be grateful
for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken,
and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship,
with reverence and awe...
Hebrews 13:28
ESV
(my emphasis)
We glorify God... with thanks... and worship...
