Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

present hope

A loved one had a challenging day... "good and bad"... the description. God prepared the way... the loved one knew His presence in the moment... knew present hope...

But we have this treasure in jars of clay
to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
2Corinthians 4:7-9

From the world's perspective it was a bad day... but with the treasure and knowledge of present Hope... the one who works ALL THINGS for the good of those who love Him... it was good.

Christmas centers on present Hope... Immanuel -- God with us -- entering into the world -- present -- to make the way for hope with us... in us always... making bad good...

And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit in whom he has given us.
Romans 5:5

Do you know present hope?
