Develope a Palate

Develope a Palate
Daily intake of the Word nourishes the Spirit. Jeremiah's Menu is an exercise in recognizing God's Word made flesh in and around me. Eating the Word in a way that supplies the spiritual nutrients needed to grow. The Menu is offered with the hope of inspiring you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Bon Appetite!

Quote Du Jour

Quote du Jour
Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. ---Charles Spurgeon, Morning and Evening

eve of a new year

Consider what you might do to add more of God's Word to your spiritual diet beginning the first day of the New Year...

Find a Bible reading plan...
set your alarm 5 minutes early, have coffee, tea, or juice with God in His Word...
choose a book or a gospel or randomly open the Book each day with a prayer: Lord, what do You have to say to me today?

Ask God to increase your hunger for His Word...
His Presence...
His Wisdom...

Jesus is the Word made flesh, He will meet you in the pages of your Bible. The more you meet Him there the more you will begin to see Him in your world... the Word made flesh...

Past years I have read the Bible in a year with a reading plan... I just finished reading the Bible chronologically (in order of the events as they happened) over 3 years... this year I feel God leading me to read the Bible in a year again, but in a different translation than I usually use and going straight through from Genesis to Revelation...

Ask God to help you make a plan to draw closer to Him... the rewards are eternal... there is no better way to use your time and energy than eating God's Word...

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
James 4:8
